Ride with us

Trips for Kids Boston welcomes new groups to ride with. We take trips weekly from April through October. We take about 6 to 10 kids on each ride. We have worked with several groups including the Home for Little Wanderers, the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Boston, Medford, and Chelsea, the Pilgrim Home for Boys, the South Shore Educational Collaborative and Academy of the Pacific Rim. In addition, we coordinate rides and events with the City of Boston Bike Program giving Boston school kids an opportunity to get their bikes off the pavement and onto the trails.

Other than your kids having fun, safety is of our utmost concern! Our Ride Leaders are experienced mountain bikers and trained in first aid and CPR.  We keep the ratio of Ride Volunteers to kids at 1:3 or less. We conduct a thorough background check before any of our volunteers are eligible to participate and at no time are your kids ever alone with one member of our volunteer staff.

You bring the kids and we take care of the rest! We outfit participants with bikes, helmets, snacks and water bottles and discuss safe riding practices before each ride.  Although most of the youth we work with have never been mountain biking, they need to know how to ride a bike and use hand brakes.

We require all participants to complete a release and medical form prior to participating. Those forms and others you can use to support the success of your program, can be downloaded from the blue box, just to the right here…

Check the ride schedule page on this website for available dates.
